Zavala Elementary School in Central East Austin offers educational programs to inspire and motivate children to become lifelong learners. The Zavala community is driven by three beliefs: Knowledge is power, Education is a community effort, and All children deserve to be challenged to learn at their highest levels. Zavala is recognized for comprising a diverse community of Austin’s littlest learners and for bringing neighborhood partners and families together to support the success of all students. Zavala is part of the Eastside Early College High School family of schools, which offers students the opportunity to earn college credit and an associate degree.

La escuela primaria Zavala, ubicada en el centro-este de Austin, ofrece programas educativos que inspiran y motivan a los niños a convertirse en aprendicesde por vida. At Zavala Elementary we offer 21st century activities through STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) initiatives:
-Primetime After school programs (Film Kids, Robotics, Freewheeling Mustangs Bicycle club, Arts & Crafts, and UT handball)
-We offer arts-rich education tha focuses on Creative Learning initiatives in theater, drama, and art.
-At Zavala we motivate our student to have a healthy life style through the CATCH Program (Coordinated Approach to Child Health).
-Outdoor weekly lessons through the PEAS program.
-STEAM curriculum-Science, Technology, Arts, and Math: (Makerspace & Mustangs)
